Basil "BC" Anagnostis
Bass Guitar/Vocals
BC was born in Galveston, Texas in 1963. Raised in LaMarque and Texas City, he was exposed to a variety of musical styles, but it was rock & roll that captued his heart and imagination. In particular, from the early 70's on through the 80's. Beginning to play guitar at the age of 13, he emulated the styles of hard rock guitarists until a happy accidental discovery at a friends garage introduced him to the bass guitar. Taking to the instrument like a duck to water, he shortly began playing pool parties for college students in Galveston. Wielding his Gibson Grabber like an instrument of war, banging out the bottom end of covers by Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Kiss, Rush, and Ted Nugent. At 18 BC embarked on what would become 7 years of military service in the U.S. Army. Overseas travel and exposure to musicians from around the world led him to eagerly embracing styles of music that included funk, jazz, R&B and even country. After returning in 1989, BC would split his time working in a variety of resturants and warehouse work, always, however aligning himself with consummate older professions where he became a weekend warrior. Laying down bass tracks for many local bands. In the process sharing stages with such musicians as Rick Lee, Gene Kelton, The Texas Star Band, Mark May and many more. During that time he also played with Fuzzy Side Up.
And now he's back with FSU again!
