James E. Brown - Lead Vocals
James entered his first talent contest in 1974 while working at Astroworld as a caricature artist. Fueled by his success at Astroworld, James continued to enter talent contests at various local venues such as the San Antonio Rose, Cooters and the Texas Tumbleweed. While working at the Texas Tumbleweed, James had the opportunity to sing with many local musicians which led to james joining The Guppies from Outer Space in 1983. After 3 years with the Guppies James moved on to sing with Velocity. From 1985-1991Velocity performed in various venues from the east coast to the southwest including local performances. During this time James sharpened his performance skills. In 1991 James joined Mayday and performed with them for the next year. In 1992 James re-joined The Guppies from Outer Space and performed locally with them until 1997. In December of '97 James along with drummer Frank Carr and keyboard player Reb Bural, formed Fuzzy Side Up. James continues to electrify audiences wherever he performs. James is a top performer for the Houston area.
